God I just wish you would check with me first…!

I know in my head and heart that God will not allow us to go thru anything He knows we cannot handle….I just wish he would check with us first to see if we are ready…but maybe if He did that we would not grow at all because we would just say no to the test or trial…none of us like to feel like we can’t get a breath, like we are running in circles, like we are being punished, like some make you feel more guilty than you already do,  like we just can’t do it anymore…but it is in those times that I actually throw my hands up in the just like a little kid who wants to be picked up by his daddy…it’s those times that my hands in the air is not an outward worship gesture…it’s a cry for help!

James 1:2-8 (The Message)

Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way. If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open.
